The M11 link road protest was a major anti-road protest in East London in the early to mid-1990s, opposing the construction of the A12 Hackney to M11 link road. Work on the construction of the road was delayed due to protesters gaining access to work sites and staging sit-ins on construction machines.

One area of major activity was Claremont Road, where all but one of original residents moved out as it was due for demolition, and it was taken over by the protesters and turned into a small community. They were inevitably evicted in November 1994 when the bailiffs and police in full riot gear came to move them out.
